Been And Gone And Got The Love
I have been absent without leave, shockingly so. There have been exams and parties and trips to the beach. Alcohol has been plentiful and good food has been back on the menu. My absence is mainly due to the fact that I, alongside my favourite partner in fundraising crime, organised a summer ball. There was music and dancing, friends and flowers, packages and pretty dresses. It nearly killed us, and now I have no idea what to do with myself. My head has been in orbit, and I'm only just tiptoeing back down onto solid ground.
I promise I'm not gone for good. I'm simply doing much more than I have time to tell anyone about. I'm also going to be writing on my organisation's blog about my upcoming trip to Tanzania. Keep those eyes peeled. Peace and love!

Celestial Sweethearts
When it is darkest, men see the stars.
Love makes the world go round.
I just stole a book about cosmology by a man called David Sang loudly.
Cosmologists are apparently clever and quaint graffiti artists.
As impermanent as stars, too - it was written in pencil.
Thank you Greg Matthew U6P.
I'll to try return it.

Doyouthinkhesaurus
I had a lucky windfall and received free tickets to Florence + The Machine, supported by The Drums - both favourites - and also to the Edinburgh College of Art Fashion Show 2010. Both were fantastic and inspiring nights that dragged me up out of the rut revision has had me stuck in.
I collected for The British Red Cross for four hours at the train stations and that restored some faith in humanity. My cheeks still ache from smiling. I sent happy birthday presents and tiny hopeful packages, and avoided the Julio-Claudians like the plague.

Not having a camera really makes me feel like I have lost control.
It makes it feel like I haven't done anything for months, when I've been doing so much.

Gunshot Ballet
Today, I will return overdue library books and sell tickets to a ball, and I will mourn my lack of a camera, and the daffodils will die and the bluebells will begin, and I will walk until my feet are sore and ride a bus across the city, and I will sit a while with a pretty little lady in a pretty little place, and we will talk about whatever is on the tips of our tongues.
Today, I will also vote.

MAYDAYMAYDAY
eating edamame and remembering a rambling man
soy sauce stained paper
car graveyards
seagulls that walk on water
flowers living between train tracks
best friends
chapped lips and fiddling ghosts
eating tears
feeling powerless
hello, goodbye
